*What are Virtual Races?

These are virtual races that anyone can participate from wherever they are, as long as they walk/run/swim/cycle a specific distance defined by the type of race and record it with a smart watch, band or a simple app on mobile.

This year “Hyperkopeli” is once again a two-day festival, returning and taking place on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd October 2022 in Agioi Apostolii:

HYPERKOPELAKI

Cost of Participation: 10 euros donation to the “Horizon” Association.

• 50m swim, 2km bike and 1km run.
• Participation includes: commemorative Event t-shirt, medal, commendation, commemorative gifts

HYPERKOPELI

Cost of Participation: 15 euros donation to the “Orizondas” Association.

• 600m swim, 25km bike and 10km run.
• Participation includes: commemorative technical t-shirt of the Organization, cap, Bib Number, medal, commendation, commemorative gifts
• Group entries (3-4 people) with or without a disabled participant are also valid

e-HYPERCOPELI

At the same time, the “e-perkopeli” will take place for the 3rd year in a row from September 23rd to October 2nd.

Participation Cost: 15 euro donation to the “Orizondas” Association + 5 euro equipment shipping costs

600m swim, 25km bike and 10km run.

• Each participant can choose the day, the time (within the predetermined time period: 23/09-2/10/22) and the location (within and outside Greece) that they wish to complete their race.
• Entries are valid if recorded by a smart watch, band or a simple mobile app and optionally a photo (personal, their equipment or the location).
• Participation includes: commemorative technical t-shirt of the Organization, cap, bib number, medal, commendation and commemorative gifts.
• Also, group entries (3 – 4 people) with or without a disabled participant are valid, with the possibility of creating a team, where the participants will be able to complete their race together or share the sports, even in different parts of Greece or abroad.

“Open Horizons”

As part of the event, the 5km “Open Horizons” Road/Dynamic Walking Race will be held, with the main objective of the interaction between volunteer groups, charitable associations, foundations, structures and the promotion of their work and actions. In normal and virtual form.

The cost of participation amounts to 5 euros per person to support any association, institution, etc. that each participant wishes to support, promoting their work and with the aim of promoting the message of volunteerism.

Participants in the “Open Horizons” Competition:

• They register directly with the association they wish to support, financially supporting its work with their donation
• They can complete the Race in person on Saturday 1 October 2022 at Agii Apostolii
• In virtual form in any place (inside and outside Greece) and whenever they wish (within the predetermined time period: 23/09-2/10/22), provided that they send as proof of their participation, a photo (personal, the equipment them or the location) and/or the recording of their Race from a smart watch, band or a simple mobile app.

The entire organization is carried out by the “Orizondas” Association and its Athletics Association, with the aim of informing the world, raising awareness of our association’s programs, promoting volunteering, promoting the project and other associations/institutions/social structures and raising money to support families in need.

The “Orizondas” Voluntary Offer and Support Association was founded in 2004 in Chania (no. 210/2004 decision of the Court of First Instance of Chania, certified by the National Register of Private Sector Entities and the Special Register of Voluntary Non-Governmental Organizations), is a non-profit association and is active in the context of volunteering. Its purpose is to support children and adults suffering from cancer (financial assistance, accommodation in the 5 hostels it has in Athens, securing transport tickets to and from the place of treatment, covering the costs of examinations and treatments not covered by the insurance funds, etc.) as well as the promotion of volunteerism (organization of events, informative activities, educational programs and sports events).
